The Shows We Want Renewed Before 2026
Shelf RATED | TV
Streamers love nothing more than to cut fan favorites just as they're starting to gain popularity. The television industry is brutal. These four shows, however, deserve a second chance before 2026 arrives with yet another round of cancellations.

Overcompensating
Equal parts biting satire and chaotic ride, Overcompensating is the kind of show that feels like it was written during a manic 3 a.m. Twitter thread. It’s one of the only shows that captures the chaos of higher education in the 2020s. Equal parts ridiculous and terrifyingly real, with such precision that losing it be a crime to humanity.

Adults
This comedy about millennials who refuse to admit they’re, well, adults, manages to make existential dread feel hilarious and painfully relatable. It nails the chaos of careers, relationships, and group chats that never end. A renewal here isn’t just about laughs, it’s about keeping the most accurate portrait of our messy 20s on TV.

The Hunting Wives
Sexy, dangerous, and drenched in scandal, Hunting Wives gave us the kind of glossy, unhinged drama that TV has been starving for since the peak Desperate Housewives era. Wealthy Southern women with secrets and shotguns? That’s prestige trash television at its finest. We need more.

Prime Target
Few thrillers manage to juggle paranoia, conspiracies, and binge-worthy cliffhangers like Prime Target. It’s smart, sleek, and keeps audiences guessing in a way most spy thrillers only dream about. The fact that this hasn’t been renewed yet is basically a crime against television.
If networks want to keep audiences hooked (and subscribers paying), it’s time to stop ghosting these shows. Renew Adults, Overcompensating, Hunting Wives, and Prime Target before 2026, because trust us, people will notice if you don’t.
