MeloManiac by k3? Zainab says 3.5/5

Shelf RATED | Music

MeloManiac isn’t a mixtape—it’s a mirror, and K3 is staring dead into it, flexing hard. Each track bleeds into the next like one long, uninterrupted strut down the runway of her own ego, and the deeper you go, the better it gets. It’s all swagger and no apologies—braggy, punchy, borderline feral—and when it hits, it hits. “Alice at Magic” sets the tone, “let’s do it” and “irritated freestyle” carry the momentum, and “Pretty like Me” plus “They love you Kind” seal the deal.

But like any good flex, it’s not without missteps. “goku,” “Nicky,” and “walk em down” don’t quite land—the production feels repetitive and k3’s flow undercooked. Still, MeloManiac isn’t aiming for perfection. It’s a vibe-heavy, headphones-on experience for when you’re in the mood to gas yourself up and get your lick back.
