LAUNDRY DAY joins Shelf

ISSUE II | Shelf Introspect

On Thursday December 12th, at the intersection of Delancey and Chrystie in Bowery, New York, I stood in a line of nearly fifty people outside a laundromat. Many people walked by the venue clearly confused or amused, but only one had the courage to ask me why I was waiting in the cold. My answer? LAUNDRY DAY.

Formed at Beacon High School in 2018, LAUNDRY DAY might be the most underrated boy band out right now. You’ll probably recognize them from TikTok, their profile in GQ, or their anthem “FRIENDS,” but in the Delancey Laundromat, fans clustered together between lit-up washers and dryers to hear the band perform their new single, “Damn Shame” for the very first time.

After the show, I got to speak with the guys about some of the different media that’s shaped them into the eccentric, authentic, and charming artists we know and love. Click here to watch the full interview, and be sure to follow their shelf!
