Good morning gorgeous. Today we’re joined by the sweet and soulful Cecilia Castleman. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Cecilia grew up to the sounds of Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Bonnie Raitt and Brian Wilson. Her sound is authentic and heartfelt, and her guitar skills have elicited praise from John Mayer himself. We got to ask Cecilia about some of the different media that’s influenced her music and promising career. ShelfMAG: What album do you think your family associates with you?

@ceciliacastleman: Probably Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk record.. I don’t think I’ve listened to an album more than that one.. My mom got it for me for my 15th birthday and it's all I played for a long time..

ShelfMAG: What song would wake you up if you were in a coma?

@ceciliacastleman: “You Get What You Give” New Radicals… that song is such a jam it hypes me up everytime I listen to it..

ShelfMAG: The last show you binged?

@ceciliacastleman: Gilmore Girls.. It’s very much my comfort show.. Plus it reminds me of my mom and I since we’re so close.. I love it so much..

ShelfMAG: What artist has had the biggest impact on your career or relationship to music?

@ceciliacastleman: Stevie Nicks for sure.. I think her writing is so phenomenal and I believe every word she says.. That’s what I aspire to do is just write something true.. I think also she was in a lot of lanes but it was all her.. from Fleetwood Mac to her solo stuff to singing with Don Henley etc.. she wasn’t one thing she was a lot of things - and they were all amazing.

ShelfMAG: The item on your Shelf most likely to stay there forever?

@ceciliacastleman: Probably that Leon Bridges song I added, “Steam” - I listen to that one all the time, such a cool groove and guitar line!
