ShelfMAG: What’s a piece of pop culture that shaped your personality way more than it should have?
@asaxcameron: Growing up, I was always told I was funny, and I genuinely loved to laugh all the time. But I have to say, my sense of humor really formed during the early 2016–2018 stan page era on Instagram and Twitter (X). It all started with me watching R.I.P. Vine compilations and reciting stan-page memes with my friends, and somehow, it all slipped into my everyday speech. I truly owe it to the creators and unsung heroes of the internet like BKTidalwave, Tiffany Pollard, the Barbz, and Jay Versace — their viral quotes and memes are central parts of my personality.
ShelfMAG: If your FYP had a theme song, what would it be?
@asaxcameron: Right now, my FYP is chaotic and all over the place! It’s a bunch of unsolicited tarot card love readings, TikTok Shop promos, and crappy dating advice — which is wild, because I keep slamming the “Not Interested” button. Though, apparently, the algorithm thinks I’m not over my ex, so I’ll go with “Aura" by Mariah the Scientist.

ShelfMAG: What fictional character did you have a crush on growing up?
@asaxcameron: Definitely Season 1 Duncan from Total Drama Island. There was something about his sarcastic personality and shameless delinquency that absolutely enthralled 7-year-old me.

ShelfMAG: What would you consider a red flag if you saw it on someone’s Shelf?
@asaxcameron: The Fresh & Fit Podcast. It’s like a litmus test for me, you know? It just takes a certain person to be entertained by that kind of nonsense. HUGE red flag.

ShelfMAG: The item on your Shelf most likely to stay there forever?
@asaxcameron: My Spotify will always be there. I can’t say any specific song will stay forever, because I’m constantly changing my taste and favorites. Though, my current favorite song is “Mysëlf” by Yeat!
