On November 13th the Shelf Socials team attended the premiere of the short film “La cause del Accident que provocó el incendo” (The Cause of the Accident that Set the Fire) at Soho House. The event included the screening of the short film followed by a brief discussion with the filmmaker Albert Serra who was featured as an actor as well. Much of the success of “La cause del Accident que provocó el incendo” is accredited to the film’s striking, powerful choreography.

“La cause del Accident que provocó el incendo” was created through the campaign "Where Talent Ignites Fantasy" by Audiovisual from Spain. This campaign aims to empower Spanish Filmmakers and Creatives by increasing the global reach of their works within the highly competitive environment of filmmaking. The film “La cause del Accident que provocó el incendo” truly fits as the staple point within the “Where Talent Ignites Fantasy” campaign as it follows a director exploring the creative process while using fire and its connotations as central metaphor.
